The Early Childhood Ministry is an extension of First Baptist Church, seeking to lead children to grow physically, mentally, socially and spiritually in an atmosphere of Christian love and to work closely with the parents to develop the whole child. We offer full day care for children ages 2, 3, and 4, and NC PreK for qualified 4 year olds.
The ECM is open year-round from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with the exception of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, 2 Days for Thanksgiving, 3 Days for Christmas, and 2 Staff Development Days each year (usually in January and August).
We are an official 4-Star Center, as issued by the North Carolina Division of Child Development.

Preschool Program
We offer full day preschool care for ages 2-4. We use the W.E.E. Learn Curriculum by Lifeway. In addition to regular curriculum, special events take place throughout the year, including field trips, puppet shows, creative arts, music time, cooking, and holiday activities. Breakfast and a hot lunch are served daily, as well as an afternoon snack.
NCPreK Classroom
We have one NCPreK classroom, in partnership with the Robeson County Partnership for Children. This class offers free education for children who meet eligibility requirements. Please see the RCPC website for details about eligibility and to apply. Breakfast is served daily, as well as a hot lunch. Wraparound care may be available for those who need childcare before/after the official classroom schedule.

January 26-30 for currently enrolled families
February 2-3 for FBC members not currently enrolled
February 4 open to the public
